HSLC 2026 Exam – Rules and Regulations for Candidates
The following are the important rules and guidelines to be followed by candidates appearing in the HSLC 2026 Examination. All examinees are advised to read these instructions carefully to avoid any inconvenience or disciplinary action during the examination.
Rules and Guidelines to Examinees
- On the first day of the examination, candidates will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall at 8:30 a.m. to locate their allotted seats. On subsequent days also, entry will be allowed from 8:30 a.m.. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall after 30 minutes from the commencement of the examination. No extra time will be allowed under any circumstances. Distribution of question papers will start 5 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
- Candidates must bring their Admit Card and Registration Card to the Examination Hall and produce them when required.
- No candidate will be allowed to leave the Examination Hall during the first one hour of the examination. If a candidate leaves the hall within the first two hours in case of a full paper, he/she will not be allowed to take the Question Paper.
- A candidate who has completed his/her Answer Script must hand it over (even if blank) to the invigilator before leaving the Examination Hall.
- Candidates must bring their own writing and drawing instruments. Only black or blue ball pens are allowed for writing answers.
- Each candidate shall write only the Roll Number and other particulars from the Admit Card in the space provided on the printed cover page of the Answer Script. Under no circumstances should a candidate write his/her name on the Answer Script.
- Candidates are strictly prohibited from carrying any electronic gadgets, mobile phones, printed or written materials into the Examination Hall. Any such item found in possession of a candidate will be seized, and the candidate will be disqualified and expelled for three years for adopting unfair means.
- Candidates must not write any objectionable or irrelevant remarks in the Answer Scripts.
- CWSN candidates with: (i) Blindness, (ii) Low vision (60%), (iii) Mental retardation with cerebral palsy (60%) will be entitled to a helper (Class X or below) and 20 minutes extra time per hour. Deaf and Dumb candidates will also get 20 minutes extra time per hour. Prior permission must be obtained from the Inspector of Schools. Blind candidates may use Braille paper as Answer Script if desired.
- The Board reserves the right to cancel admission to the examination for any violation of rules or if the situation so demands.
Important Notes
- Applications for correction of name, age, title, etc., must be submitted within one month from the date of receipt of Admit Cards, through the Head of the Institution concerned.
- Sealed packets of Question Papers will be opened by the Invigilators inside the Examination Hall and in front of the candidates at 8:55 a.m. for the Morning shift and 1:25 p.m. for the Afternoon shift.
Advice to Candidates: Follow all instructions carefully, reach the examination centre on time, and avoid carrying prohibited items to ensure a smooth and stress-free HSLC 2026 examination.
